The Quality Checker role is essential for ensuring that every product meets the highest quality standards before reaching customers. Given the complexities of furniture manufacturing, polishing, packaging, and logistics, this role is critical in minimizing defects, reducing returns, and maintaining product excellence. The Quality Checker will oversee inspections, coordinate stock tracking, and ensure that only the best-finished products are dispatched daily.
Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Inspection & Defect Identification
- Inspect all raw furniture materials arriving at the factory for defects or inconsistencies.
- Check manufacturing defects, polishing quality, and packaging standards before dispatch.
- Ensure that only defect-free and well-finished products move to the packaging stage.
- Maintain a daily report of rejected and corrected items.
2. Stock & Inventory Management
- Track and maintain stock of raw furniture, polished goods, and packed items.
- Keep detailed records of furniture entering and leaving the manufacturing unit.
- Report shortages or excess stock to management for better planning.
3. Coordination Between Teams
- Work closely with the manufacturing, polishing, and packaging teams to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Ensure all raw materials are available for uninterrupted production.
- Oversee the packaging process, ensuring furniture is packed optimally to prevent transit damage.
- Ensure that the daily dispatch list is followed, preparing goods as per the Dispatch Team’s instructions.
4. Dispatch Readiness & Load Supervision
- Verify that all furniture listed on the dispatch sheet is properly packed and ready for loading.
- Supervise loading to ensure safe and secure transportation of products.
- Work with the dispatch team to prevent order delays and incorrect shipments.
